A phone in the pocket, the city in the morning. Streets, family kitchens, things lit by stray windows.
Reading
Mostly fiction. A book on the bedside, another on the desk, often a third I've abandoned.
Journaling
A page or two before the day starts. Not for anyone but me. Most of them never go anywhere.
Writing
Slow drafts, longer pieces, the occasional Substack. The few that hold up become sips.
Exploring music
Slow albums front to back, never on shuffle. Something new most weeks; some old loops too.
